Job Title: Project Estimator II

Job Location: Juno Beach, FL

Job Type: Long-Term Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator II to join our Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, developing pricing models, supporting conceptual engineering design, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project planning and execution. The position offers exposure to utility-scale renewable energy, transmission, substations, water treatment, hydrogen, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and definitive project cost estimates.
  • Develop pricing models and estimating methodologies.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Support conceptual engineering design and preliminary construction planning.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and scope quantification.
  • Conduct value engineering analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain estimating databases and tools.
  • Perform risk assessments and prepare project contingencies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Track project costs and estimate variances throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Present estimates and recommendations to project stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or hands-on experience in construction, engineering, or estimating
  • Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar
  • Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, utility, renewable energy, or EPC projects
