Job description

A Jr Estimator - Construction to support the preparation of accurate and well‑documented cost estimates for construction projects. This is a structured, fast‑paced office role focused on learning ACG estimating standards, supporting senior estimators, and developing strong estimating fundamentals. Accuracy, organization, and follow‑through are essential.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.

  • Support pricing of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.

  • Review bid documents, scopes of work, and project requirements.

  • Assist with subcontractor outreach and scope comparisons.

  • Maintain organized estimate files and documentation.

  • Support senior estimators during bid preparation and reviews.

  • Assist with post‑bid analysis and lessons learned.

  • Follow ACG estimating procedures, templates, and QMS requirements.

  • Develop construction and estimating knowledge through training and mentorship.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in construction estimating, construction management, engineering, or related roles.

  • Construction‑related education preferred.

  • Internship, field, or entry‑level estimating experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Tech‑savvy with strong Microsoft 365 proficiency.

  • Intermediate Excel skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
