Responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating lesson content (including print materials, slide decks, online lessons, and practice tests) for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to provided style guidelines
  • Accurately reporting issues through a ticketing system or according to provided guidelines.
  • Maintaining quality and consistency of style in all produced content.
  • Communicating regularly with the MasteryPrep team in regard to deadlines, feedback, and transparency on work progress.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 2+ years of proofreading or editing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, which include a strong command of the English language and grammar rules.
  • Comfortability reviewing a range of subjects including ELA, STEM, and Social Sciences.
  • Able to quickly learn new technology and enforce detailed standards according to style guides.
  • Able to follow deadlines and produce quality work with a prompt turnaround, typically within 24 hours.
  • Familiar with using and have access to the following:
    • Stable internet connection
    • Slack messaging (access will be provided)
    • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
    • Adobe Acrobat DC
  • Screen-capture and/or screen-recording software is preferred but not required.
  • Test prep experience, high standardized test scores, and an education background are prioritized.

Benefits
This is a part-time 1099 contract position with a pay rate of $25 per hour.
