Proofing Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proofing Specialist to support our team in managing and processing custom artwork for branded merchandise. This role requires the review, validation, and transfer of customer-submitted design files across internal systems. The ideal candidate will remotely evaluate new artwork submissions for accuracy, design quality, and compliance with brand and content guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate customer-submitted design files for accuracy, quality, and compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Check submissions for copyright issues, inappropriate content, and formatting errors.
  • Map approved designs to the correct product type, such as drinkware and coolers.
  • Assist the team by reviewing and processing custom order requests.
  • Provide assistance within artwork processes and generate pricing updates within sell sheets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience or classroom knowledge in Adobe Illustrator or Corel.
  • Experience transferring graphics onto another site or program.
  • Ability to work 40 hours weekly.
  • Interest in gaining experience in the graphic design field.
  • Proficiency in graphic design, clerical tasks, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior graphic specialist experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent freelance education.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with a Monday to Friday schedule, generally from 8 AM to 5 PM, but with flexibility during the fourth quarter to work between 7 AM to 3 PM and 10 AM to 7 PM. If located in Austin, there is an option for a hybrid onsite schedule, although the rest of the team and management work fully remotely. The position extends through the end of the year holidays, with a likelihood of longer-term opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
