Job description

PRPL's Visual Designers are artists who solve big problems, create beautiful experiences, and put users first. At PRPL, you'll design a wide variety of digital products, collaborating across disciplines to tackle challenges from conception to launch. Successful designers on our team have strong production design portfolios, positive attitudes, and an endless desire to explore ideas that push design forward.
Reports To:
Design Director
Responsibilities
  • Work in collaborative teams to design unique solutions for a wide variety of digital products
  • Develop intimate knowledge of information design, including color theory, typographic hierarchy, and balanced layout
  • Create initial concepts, infographics, presentation decks, reports, social media graphics, etc.
  • Refine existing designs to enhance and optimize the experience
  • Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department
  • Stay current with digital and industry trends

Qualifications
  • A self-motivated, conceptual thinker who is open to feedback and eager to collaborate
  • A creative who can understand and disseminate a design system accurately and thoughtfully
  • 5+ years of experience in digital design
  • Expert knowledge and execution with design products, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Canva, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates strong, varied production work
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with or without supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Base Needs:
  • Up to 20 hours per week.
  • Daytime availability between 9am-5pm EST
  • Weekly check-in meeting with team.
