Job description

Röchling Automotive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to support a manufacturing floor digitalization initiative at our Duncan, SC facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in quality engineering, visual management systems, training development, and manufacturing process improvement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in transitioning the plant from manual quality boards and static work instructions to digital, TV-based visual management systems across manufacturing operations
  • Update, revise, and standardize digital work instructions for manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Create visual quality materials including:
    • Defect catalogs
    • Quality alerts
    • GIFs and visual aids
    • Operator training content
  • Support the installation and implementation of digital display systems throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist with shop floor digitalization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train lead operators and supervisors on the use and sustainment of digital quality management tools.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Operations teams to improve communication and process effectiveness.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in:
    • Quality Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Related engineering or technical field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Interest in manufacturing quality systems, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
