This position pays $60,000 annually and increases based on experience.
Responsibilities
  • Key driver of LG's FI-11 continuous improvement program which includes elements ranging from basic 5S application to formal waste/loss elimination through our employees' suggestions or internal management direction
  • Direct support for the planning, coordination and roll-out of SW2.0 Initiatives with multiple departments of the corporation, including Process Loss Improvement, Material Cost and Defects Reduction among others
  • Supports development of meaningful key performance indicators (KPI's) for FI-11 and continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible for regular (daily, weekly, monthly) report-out of KPI's and drives improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams
  • Supports regular lecture/cluster training on FI-11, Continuous Improvement, Problem-solving, and Critical Thinking for all levels in the organization
  • Supports regulatory and safety compliance for all processes and teams/departments

Qualifications / Skills:
  • BS in Industrial Engineering or related field with 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/factory setting (internships and co-op experience included) - BBA in Project Management, Operations Management will be considered for this role
  • Ability to present training program content in 1:1 or group settings
  • Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate and learn autonomously Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) IT Systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Compliance with long working hours as needed
  • Occasional travel (international and domestic)

Preferred:
  • Experience with highly automated and integrated manufacturing systems
  • Prior experience with 5S training, Lean, managing continuous improvement projects and audit processes
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and PMP certifications
  • Experience in start-ups and multicultural workplace
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Dual language (Korean)
