As a Logistics Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your education, skills, and experience while gaining practical knowledge in the ACBL Logistics Department. What you will be doing... Your IMPACT 

  • Learn ACBL Logistics best practices.
  • Provide telephonic and email support for Logistics functions.
  • Assist the Logistics Team with various tasks including:
    • Gathering and updating information for the management and dispatch of barges and boats.
    • Communicating barge placement, planning, allocation, and boat planning information to customers.
    • Documenting barge release and placement information.
    • Orchestrating port occurrences with harbor services.
    • Assisting with area forecasts for Traffic Dispatchers, Traffic Managers, and System Planners.
  • Participate in team discussions and contribute fresh ideas.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have:

  • HS Diploma/GED is Required
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Possession of organizational skills and results orientation

  • Must be dependable in attendance and meet deadlines as established.

  • Critical thinking process orientation

  • Ability to determine priorities.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Even better if you have:

  • Current enrollment in college coursework is preferred.
  • 0-1 yearsof office work experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient in using MS Office software is preferred.
