Your primary responsibilities are giving presentations and explaining college programs to prospective applicants. You may also be required to create marketing materials for this outreach. College recruiters usually work in the office of admissions, but you frequently travel to meet with high school students across the region. You typically work in a specific area, so you may operate out of a satellite office if your assignment is far from the main campus. You must establish relationships with local students that you feel are best qualified for your college. With this experience, you can also work in human resources or corporate recruitment.
