Collections Representative (Hybrid Schedule)

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, flexible between 9:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM

Training: 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM

Location: Troy, MI

Hybrid (initial on-site training, then partial remote)


Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and resilient Collections Representative to join a fast-paced, high-performance team. This role requires an experienced outbound collections professional who is comfortable handling high call volume, managing multiple accounts, and negotiating payment resolutions.


Schedule & Work Environment
  • Initial 1โ€“2 months fully on-site for training and onboarding
  • Transition to hybrid schedule (2โ€“3 days on-site, remainder remote)
  • Must meet performance, quality, and attendance standards to maintain hybrid eligibility
  • Flexible schedule rotation between:
    • 9:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM
    • 9:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM
  • Overtime available but not required

Key Responsibilities
  • Make 80+ outbound collection calls daily to recover outstanding balances
  • Handle inbound calls generated from email outreach campaigns (20โ€“30/day)
  • Manage a portfolio of 200โ€“600 accounts per week
  • Negotiate and secure payments during calls whenever possible
  • Send follow-up emails regarding outstanding balances
  • Accurately document all activity in CRM systems and spreadsheets
  • Perform account research and resolution activities
  • Provide daily reporting on call and collection activity
  • Meet individual performance and collection targets
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • 2โ€“3 years of first-party outbound collections experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of collections regulations (FDCPA)
  • Proven ability to handle high call volume and objection-heavy conversations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and listening skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and spreadsheet tools
  • Resilient, thick-skinned, and not discouraged by rejection
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to connect directly to a wired internet connection when working remotely

Pay and Benefits
