Product Certification Auditor (Mechanical Systems)
Location: United States - Field Based
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Compensation: $102,000 - $130,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits

At BSI, we are seeking a Product Certification Auditor to conduct product certification assessments across diverse manufacturing environments. In this role, you'll ensure compliance with BSI's rigorous certification schemes and Kitemark standards, playing a key part in upholding product quality across industries.
What You'll Do:

  • Conduct product certification assessments and deliver findings to clients
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates based on compliance
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service and account growth
  • Lead assessment teams and mentor colleagues when required
  • Plan and schedule audits efficiently, maximizing time and revenue opportunities
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, scheduling visits, conducting assessments, and ensuring smooth operations
What We're Looking For:
  • College degree AA or higher (or equivalent certification or work experience)
  • Must have ISO 9001 Lead Auditor course completion
  • ISO 14001 Environmental or ISO 45001 OHS training or experience is a plus
  • Generic knowledge of management system auditing practices
  • Knowledge of general office practices, information systems, documentation systems, and technology including computers
  • Knowledge of the specific services, products, processes and organizational structure of the client
  • Knowledge of the outcomes of prior audit activities of the client
  • Knowledge of competences of the audit team members for the client
  • Can demonstrate passion for the business and can inspire others
  • Have integrity, ensuring that business is conducted in an ethical manner
  • Have commercial focus, understanding customers' needs and adding value
  • Understanding of Structural or Mechanical Systems including: Pressure Equipment Devices, Welding, Assembly and Test, Personal Protective Equipment, Building, Construction and Fenestration, Gas Appliances and/or Fire Protection industries is desired
