Job description

Account Executive 

Summary

The Account Executive serves as the primary strategic and day-to-day partner for assigned client accounts, guiding projects from contract signing through ongoing growth and retention. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, leading regular meetings, managing project timelines and budgets, presenting recommendations and proposals, and identifying opportunities to expand partnerships through quarterly business reviews. Working closely with internal teams and freelance partners, the Account Executive ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client goals.

Essential Functions

  • Own the client account from contract signing through project execution, to future-state growth opportunities
  • Regular meetings with clients via phone/virtual meeting (occasional in-person meeting may be required)
  • Preparing and presenting project status / updates, work orders, and proposals to clients
  • Project management of existing clients’ projects within teamwork.com and Google Workspace
  • Work with internal team members to communicate client needs and complete projects on time and on a budget for clients
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to pursue growth opportunities for existing clients and maintain retention target
  • Work with Media Buyer to communicate performance and optimization recommendations for active media campaigns
  • Coordinate with freelancers to develop SEO-focused blog posts
  • Ability to interview clients, conduct industry research, and write copy for websites, flyers, social captions, etc.
  • Basic understanding of SEO/AEO/GEO
  • Complete other tasks as assigned

Required Education / Experience

  • 2+ years in account management, client services, or sales, preferably in a marketing, advertising, or digital agency. 
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and advertising
  • Familiarity with CRM and project management tools like Teamwork, Salesforce, or HubSpot. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent work experience in client services and sales will be considered.

Required Skills and Behaviors

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time with strong skills in planning, organization, follow-up, etc.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders and internal team quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace products
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and be a proactive, creative problem solver
