Senior Account Executive, Beauty

SHADOW is currently seeking a candidate to fill the Sr. Account Executive role in its Beauty division. The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of experience strategizing and executing communications campaigns and running point on their accounts. This is a managerial position and requires an individual with strong leadership skills and instincts, who is both knowledgeable and passionate about the Beauty industry and SHADOW's clients in the space.

What You Bring:
  • Leadership and positivity: you will be expected to communicate effectively with their teams and provide clear marching orders that keep them engaged, on track and inspired
  • Strategic thinking: you will be responsible for developing client strategies that are innovative, creative and thoughtful.
  • Media Relationships: you must have deep and extensive connections across print, broadcast and digital media. All your ideas should be actionable or at least pitchable through your own connections.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Knowledge of Muckrack or Cision and Fashion GPS
What You Do:
  • Account Management: you lead several accounts at any given time, managing your work load and client responsibilities proactively and responsibly. You will be responsible for the output and performance of the junior staff across accounts, and must supervise accordingly.
  • Strategic planning: In conjunction with Account Supervisors, you develop high level client strategy (30, 60, 90-day, or even year-long plans) that demonstrate a sharp understanding of the industry as well as the client and their goals. Plans are expected to include integrated and measurable PR initiatives that can be pitched to the client with clear ROI potential.
  • Written Materials - you are responsible for the majority of client's written materials: press releases, media alerts, media plans, proposals and client communication.

Annual Compensation: $75K - $95K (commensurate with experience)
