Job Description

The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Sales Development Representatives, reporting into the Director of Inside Sales. This position will lead a team who generate qualified meetings, identify and expand sales opportunities and ultimately contribute to the sales pipeline and closed business. This includes working closely with channel, sales and marketing systems as well as metrics and measurements that are essential to the success of the role. This position will provide leadership and planning as well as coaching and training to drive the very best results for the business. This position will be closely aligned with sales leadership, field sales, sales operations, field marketing, partners and alliances. The successful candidate for this role should thoroughly understand outbound activities, modern sales prospecting practices and sales opportunity qualification, and would have a proven track record leading teams of ISR's or SDR's in the Technology sector. Experience of enterprise B2B sales prospecting and opportunity qualification would be ideal. Demonstration of a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing others is essential, as well as thriving in a rapid change and growth environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support the Sales Development team to goals, objectives and quota achievement

  • Identify areas for improvement and provide real-time, personalized coaching

  • Collaborate with Demand Gen to support multi-touch, multi-channel campaigns

  • Report on individual, segment, and team impact; maintain daily activity goals and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for various business stakeholders

  • Partner with Sales Training to improve product knowledge and objection handling

  • Hold weekly 1x1s, shadowing sessions, and team meetings to improve communication, collaboration, and results

  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a positive working relationship, solicit feedback, and maximize effectiveness of sales development efforts

  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitive offerings.

  • Participate in interviewing and hiring process

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • 4+ years experience in sales with at least 1+ year of leading a team

  • Proven ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally

  • Ability to drive the team to work within defined frameworks and follow up on tasks in a predefined time frame

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tool (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Outreach or similar account development tool (preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quotas

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

Target Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD
