Job description

Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Representative for a full-service restoration company located in Addison, IL, covering the Chicagoland area.
Business Development Representative Compensation and Benefits:

We're looking for someone who thrives on face-to-face relationships and knows how to turn handshakes into lasting partnerships. The right candidate will have established relationships in plumbing (ideally), HVAC, or related service trades. They can open doors, expand our referral network, and drive new restoration and rebuild opportunities across Chicagoland by leveraging an existing book of trusted local connections. You'll have the freedom to design your route, manage your book, and grow within a proven, high-performing team.
Business Development Representative Responsibilities
  • Design and execute an action plan to create new business and build client relationships.
  • Leverage your plumbing/trades network to build referral partnerships and generate qualified leads.
  • Attend PHCC/trade events and make regular shop visits to plumbers and service managers.
  • Create and maintain sales route records.
  • Perform sales calls resulting in scheduled meetings with target referral prospects.
  • Report leads to dispatch or book restoration or rebuild evaluations.
  • Secure commitment from referral partners, leading to referrals of those in need of restoration services.
  • Responsible for achieving company sales targets and updating management on account status.
  • Maintain a professional, ethical, and positive disposition as a company representative in the community.
  • Complete weekly and monthly sales reports in a timely manner.
  • Regularly attend client meetings, trade shows, networking events, and conferences.
  • Maintain customer contact database.
  • Make group presentations to prospect organizations.
  • Integrate sales efforts with other organized marketing activities (promotions, advertising, exhibitions, telemarketing, social media marketing, etc.).
  • Opportunities for growth and potential to oversee sales staff.

Business Development Representative Requirements:
  • 3+ years of outside sales/business development experience.
  • Existing local book of plumber/referral relationships strongly preferred (PHCC/trades ties a plus).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term referral partnerships.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and goal driven.
  • Industry knowledge preferred.
  • Results-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy, confident, and organized.
