Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Preoperative Screening RN for our ambulatory surgery center. As a part of our team, you will contribute to HCA mission and values by ensuring that your patient is prepared and cleared for surgery. Under the direction of the clinical preoperative screeners, you will assist with the collection of your patient's information, communicate with physician offices, complete medical history, and assemble a clinical record for your patient.
What you will do in this role:
You will retrieve voicemail messages and return calls promptly
Maintain adequate supplies for your office area
Perform preoperative phone calls to your patients to collect preadmission information and provide appropriate pre-operative instructions
Maintain departmental excel spreadsheets regarding progress with your patient's data collection and telephone communications
Compile your patient chart to ensure that all required documentation is immediately available, up to date, and conforming to regulations
