Job description

Brown Motors in Petoskey is looking for a dependable Automotive Parts Advisor to join our service and parts team.

Brown Motors has served Northern Michigan since 1898 and continues to grow. Our dealership operates one of the largest service facilities in the region with more than 40 service bays, including a growing heavy duty and commercial service center. Our parts department plays a key role in keeping technicians productive and customers taken care of.

This position supports both our service technicians and our retail customers by identifying, sourcing, and delivering the correct parts quickly and accurately. The right candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast paced dealership environment.


Dealership parts experience is strongly valued.

Responsibilities

Assist service technicians and service advisors with accurate parts lookup and ordering

Provide parts support at the counter and over the phone for customers and internal service staff

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper bin locations

Receive, stock, and process daily parts shipments

Coordinate special orders and ensure timely delivery of parts

Help keep the service department moving by ensuring technicians receive the correct parts quickly

Maintain an organized and efficient parts department

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and organization

Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced dealership environment

A team first attitude and willingness to support technicians and service advisors

Strong communication skills with both customers and coworkers
