Job description

Job Overview: As a member of the Headquarters Customer Service Team, the Automotive Technical Advisor is primarily responsible for answering phone calls from customers having either warranty and/or technical issues. In this role, you are troubleshooting technical issues that a mechanic may be having out in the field. Therefore, it is imperative that you have an understanding and knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines and transmissions. Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles is required.
*NOTE: The Customer Service Automotive Technical Advisor is required to complete onsite training in Jasper, Indiana for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. Once training is complete, the Associate will work onsite at our Jasper facility or at one of our branches that is closest to your home.

  • Build and sustain relationships with customers
  • Answer phone calls from customers who have warranty or technical issues
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve the customers concerns
  • Provide professional and quality customer care

Who we are looking for:
  • 2-4-year automotive degree and/or related automotive industry experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
  • Driven to solve problems with advanced knowledge and technical detail in either gas engines, diesel engines, and/or transmissions
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Analytical problem solver and decision maker
