Essential Duties and Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
  • Write, edit, and proofread clear, accurate technical documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand text and visuals.
  • Apply DoD and industry style standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Use publishing tools (Microsoft Office, Acrobat, FrameMaker, Photoshop, Quicksilver) to create and update materials.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page-layout skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office; experience with publishing or multimedia tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, stay organized, and work effectively within a structured process.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Willingness to support occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
  • The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be able to perform normal office duties (e.g. sitting for long periods at a desk)
  • Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS via car and airplane
  • Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator

Salary Range: $86,900.00-$96,100.00
The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
