Position Summary

Contiem is seeking a Contract Technical Writer to develop product documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our clients with an on-site requirement. This client-facing role involves supporting multiple organizations with their documentation needs. The ideal candidate has worked on a variety of projects, enjoys applying their expertise to new subject areas, and demonstrates strong writing skills. They thrive in fast-paced environments and can confidently work with clients who have varying standards and expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write and update assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance documentation for physical products for industrial, manufacturing, and consumer products companies.
  • Write and update software user guides and online help.
  • Ensure documents are accurate and follow the clearly defined standards.
  • Create new documents as required.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and the writing team to ensure the documentation aligns with the prescribed standards and is communicated to the appropriate audience.
  • Be detail-oriented and understand the principles of good technical writing.
