JOB SUMMARY
Thisposition provides specialized assistance to the President of Northeastern StateUniversity.
MAJOR DUTIES
Coordinate special projects and events.
Arrange the travel for the President and his or her representatives.
Develop data and maintain invitation lists and correspondence for special events.
Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Serve as liaison to the Regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma.
Research and compile reports.
Greet visitors; provide information and assistance.
Assist Executive Assistant to the President as necessary.
Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGEREQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs, including mastery of all components of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of event planning principles, and demonstrated skill in their execution.
Knowledge of university travel policies.
Knowledge of and skill in the use of correct grammar.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The President assigns work in terms of generalinstructions; the employee is then responsible for making sure all workcompleted is of the highest quality. The supervisor or his/her designee spot-checkscompleted work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature andpropriety of the final results.

A minimum of two years direct experience in event planning.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
