HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a professional and highly organized HR Assistant to support daily human resource operations within our healthcare agency. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, timely with deadlines, and committed to maintaining HIPAA standards and regulatory compliance in a confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day human resource operations in accordance with agency policies
  • Assist recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation processes
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date personnel records in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Track compliance documentation using approved systems and reports
  • Assist with benefits coordination, payroll-related documentation, and workers’ compensation matters
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding personnel policies and procedures
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Serve as backup support to caregiving staff as needed
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
  • HR experience is a plus, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and healthcare regulatory requirements preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates excellent time management and consistent follow-through
