Job description

We are representing an established, multi-billion dollar manufacturing company is actively seeking an Assistant Plant Controller for their facility. This person will report directly to the Site Controller and assist in leading the accounting and finance function. POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Candidate will work closely with Site Controller and executive leadership while assuming ownership over reporting and planning function.
  • Develop cost standards for labor and burden rates.
  • Month-end close process including financial package preparation.
  • Maintain various records, ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Analyzes financial data obtained through studies to determine effects of costs on business
  • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
  • Provides management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of plant cost based experienced within the manufacturing sector.
  • Candidate should be well versed in Excel
  • Experience leading month end close process
  • Strong budgeting/forecasting
