A rapidly growing environmental technology and advanced materials organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to join the leadership team during a pivotal stage of growth.

This position offers the opportunity to build and elevate the accounting function within a highly innovative company preparing for long-term scale and increased financial sophistication. The Controller will work closely with executive leadership, helping strengthen infrastructure, improve processes, and support broader strategic initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure audit-ready financials
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR oversight, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
  • Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
  • Support ERP implementation efforts and ongoing process improvements
  • Assist leadership with strategic finance and operational projects as the organization continues to scale
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience at the Controller or Assistant Controller level
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes
  • Experience in high-growth, complex, or operationally intensive environments preferred
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite experience highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong ownership mentality around close and reporting processes
  • CPA strongly preferred
