Job description

Assistant Accounting Manager 10686Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the monthly close process including account reconciliations and analysis of general ledger data, audits and capitalization of leases and fixed assets, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and documentation of same
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technology integration to enhance and create efficiencies
  • Analyze consolidated and segment-level financial results to identify trends, variances, and emerging risks
  • Collaborate with leadership and department heads to develop strategic initiatives and support decision-making processes
  • Monitor internal controls, including gathering feedback from audit personnel
  • Develop and enhance reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs for review
  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of accounting professionals
  • Complete ad hoc assignments/projects assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 7+ years experience with at least 5+ years leading and developing teams
  • CPA required
  • Intermediate and/or advanced Excel skills
