ACCOUNTING OFFICE MANAGER

The Sam Leman Automotive Group is one of Central Illinois' largest and most respected automotive groups. Family-owned since 1963, we proudly operate multiple dealerships across the region and employ hundreds of dedicated team members. With a reputation built on integrity, customer service, and long-term employee success, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Office Manager to join our Champaign leadership team.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the dealership accounting office
  • Supervise, train, and support accounting staff
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial schedules
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Oversee vehicle deal posting, funding, and reconciliation
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee record maintenance as needed
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for dealership and corporate leadership
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, manufacturer requirements, and company policies
  • Partner with department managers to improve processes and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements
Qualifications
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience is required
  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of dealership accounting procedures and financial reporting
  • Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar dealership management systems preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
