Job description

Accounting/Office Assistant

We are searching for a motivated Accounting/Office Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. Accounting Assistants can expect to assist the accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions and preparing monthly/quarterly reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities:

·         Work with both Accts Payable and Accts Receivables

·         Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies

·         Create and update expense reports

·         Process reimbursement

·         Prepare bank deposits

·         Enter financial transactions

·         Check spreadsheets for accuracy

·         Maintain digital and physical financial records

·         Issue invoices to customers

·         Review and file payroll documents

·         Participate in quarterly and annual audits, as necessary

·         Ability to multitask

·         Other duties as assigned

Requirements

·         Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing

·         Work experience as an Accounting/Office Assistant or Accounting Assist

·         Education will be considered in lieu of work experience

·         Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures

·         Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

·         Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)

·         Organization skills

·         Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

·         Must pass background check
