Accounting Manager

We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our growing team, someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to lead client engagements with confidence.  We are a growing firm that values excellence and innovation. 

Position Overview 

The Accounting Manager will oversee client accounting operations, including the development and maintenance of accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This role involves financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and presenting strategic recommendations to client leadership. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player and will report directly to the President. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • ·        Manage day-to-day accounting functions for multiple clients 
  • ·        Develop and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies 
  • ·        Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts 
  • ·        Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and filings 
  • ·        Present financial insights and recommendations to client management 
  • ·        Collaborate with CEOs and accounting staff across various companies 
  • ·        Represent LUDWIG's culture of excellence in all client interactions 

Qualifications 

  • ·        Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 
  • ·        Minimum 5 years of progressive experience (e.g., Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller) 
  • ·        CPA certification preferred 
  • ·        Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) 
  • ·        Experience with multiple accounting software platforms or willingness to learn 
  • ·        Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy 
  • ·        Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude 
  • ·        Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities 
  • ·        Willingness to travel to client offices in the Philadelphia region
