Accounting Manager (Contract) - Hybrid
Pay: $65-$75/hour (basic benefits provided by LHH)
Location: Twin Cities - South East Metro (must be local/commutable)
Schedule: Hybrid - 2 days in 3 days out
Start/Length: ASAP through fall (may extend depending on business need)
The Opportunity
A well-established logistics organization in the Twin Cities is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to provide hands-on leadership. You'll step into a visible role supporting core general ledger accounting and operational accounting areas tied to inventory and freight.
What You'll Do
  • Support and oversee GL accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activity
  • Review and provide oversight for the work of two senior-level accountants
  • Review accounting related to inventory and freight, ensuring accuracy and reasonableness
  • Use Excel (including PivotTables) to analyze data, validate results, and support reviews
  • Help maintain continuity and meet deadlines during an interim coverage period
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
  • Strong background in GAAP general ledger accounting
  • Experience reviewing others' work and providing guidance or oversight
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other large ERPs
  • Self-starter with a positive, flexible working style
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience with inventory and/or freight accounting
  • Prior interim or contract accounting leadership experience
  • Comfort stepping into a role midstream and adding structure where needed
