REPORTS TO:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  DIRECTOR, ACCOUNTING/FINANCE

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director, Accounting/Finance, the Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the companyโ€™s daily financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, General Ledger Accounting & Payroll and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reviews journal entries for the monthly and quarterly accruals and close
  • Manages all activities related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Inventory, General Ledger Accounting & Payroll
  • Manages various Accounting/Finance audit requirements
  • Complies with SOX by ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and adhered to
  • Reviews, edits, and documents accounting processes and procedures and recommends methods for increasing operational efficiency
  • Reviews, prepares, and files reports for various governmental agencies
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
  • Assists tax provision calculations
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Eight years of experience working in accounting and finance (preferred experience in a high-tech environment)
  • Hands on experience using Oracle or other similar financial accounting application
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with SOX requirements and controls
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with established safety procedures
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivables, fixed assets, inventory, payroll and tax provision calculations
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, presentations, and Word documents
  • Skilled at analyzing data and creating reports or charts
  • Skilled at taking initiative to improve processes or practices
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees and management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals, teams, and departments
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and ensures timely completion
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize work

The annual rate for this full-time position is between $142,000.00 - $175,000.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Accounting Manager works primarily in an office environment from Monday thru Friday.ย The schedule maybe altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Spends a majority of time in a seated position but occasionally stands and walks; performs various fine grasping or manipulation, bends and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. May occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 10 pounds.
