Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all accounting functions. This role blends hands-on operational leadership with higher-level financial oversight, including reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis.


The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team, maintain compliance with financial regulations, and provide insights that help drive performance and growth within a fast paced and collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends and variances, and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Support leadership with timely, accurate reporting to inform business decisions

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting processes and ongoing forecasting activities
  • Monitor performance against budget and adjust projections as needed

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and general ledger functions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and reporting standards
  • Manage banking relationships and cash flow processes

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements

Process Improvement & Risk Management

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Support system optimization and automation initiatives, including ERP utilization
  • Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing accounting team
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive work culture

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with executive leadership to align financial goals with business objectives
  • Provide financial insight to support planning, growth initiatives, and special projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership exposure
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • CPA, CMA, or other advanced certification preferred, but not required
