Job description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations for our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a hands-on approach to financial reporting, and the ability to keep month-end activities on track. The selected candidate will oversee critical close processes, maintain accurate financial records, and support sound decision-making through timely reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and accounting entries are recorded accurately.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules that reflect the organization’s performance and financial position.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activity within QuickBooks and help maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Supervise accounting workflows and provide guidance to staff to promote accuracy, consistency, and accountability.
• Analyze account activity and reporting trends to support leadership with clear financial insight.
• Strengthen internal accounting procedures to improve efficiency and support compliance with company standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, answer financial questions, and support operational needs.• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Demonstrated success managing month-end close activities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience preparing financial statements and related supporting documentation.
