Overview

Area Vice President Founded in 1997, Think Together partners with schools to change the odds for kids by providing award-winning programs during and outside the school day. We're one of California's largest nonprofits working in school districts from San Diego to San Francisco. Whether you're interested in early learning, elementary, middle or high school, you can invest in your community by working at a local school or working within our home office providing support! JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Regional Operations and Programs, the Area Vice President is responsible for owning, nurturing, and sustaining relationships with key decision-makers at the district level, including Superintendents and Board Members. The Area Vice President will oversee the Executive Director of Programs. The Area Vice President is responsible for the retention of all contracts in the area, earning and or realizing contracted revenue, and growth goals with existing partners in the area. The Area Vice President is responsible for partnering with the Partner and Customer Success team for growth within the existing partners in the area. This role is also responsible for setting the vision across the area and lead the Executive Directors of Program towards meeting organizational goals of program quality, consistent execution, customer experience, strong operations, contract retention, and culture. This position requires a strong leader with excellent relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a proven record of accomplishment of driving organizational goals through effective team management and collaboration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership Oversee and manage the Executive Director of Programs to meet area retention and revenue growth goals among existing partners. Develop and manage direct reports through regular one-on-ones, work plans, and other tools and systems to ensure effective performance and professional growth. Provide regular updates on area performance and strategic initiatives to key stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews of area performance, including financial, operational, and programmatic outcomes, and report findings to key stakeholders with actionable recommendations. Lead by example Represent Think Together at community, local, and board meetings.

Partnership & Collaboration Initiate, nurture, and sustain leverageable relationships with key decision-makers in the area, serving as a community leader for stakeholders. Communicates with organization leaders if escalations occur in the area to respond accordingly and timely. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective support and resource allocation for area initiatives and strategic growth plans. Collaborate strategically across departments to meet organizational goals. Collaborate with the Partner and Customer Success team to build relationships with key decision-makers, working towards deepening and expanding relationships.

Organizational Goals Participate in the development and execution of the strategic growth plans and retention plans for the area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities, and drive the implementation of key initiatives. Lead and facilitate regular strategic meetings with direct reports and other key stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and align priorities towards attaining organizational goals. Monitor and analyze area performance metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve performance targets. Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure continuity and long-term success within the customers in their respective area. Achieve the area growth goal for revenue, retain existing business, and contract realization by leveraging existing client relationships, expanding the client base, and driving the performance of the Executive Directors of Program through targeted coaching, accountability, strategic planning, and performance management. Achieve the business growth goal for their area in partnership with the Partner and Customer Success team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (BA) in education, Business Administration, or related field; master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience in the expanded learning field or related field; record of accomplishment of effectively leading regional or multiple teams with outcomes-based performance Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in business development and contract execution Proven record of accomplishment in scaling operations and driving organizational growth. Budget management experience with a minimum of $90 million in portfolio

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality. Comply with organization policies and follow procedures. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams Experience with Salesforce preferred.

PHYSICAL/WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS: Moderate Noise (examples: typical office noise) Stand, Walk, Sit (in general office environment) Computer Screen visual in performance of role Lift up to 10 pounds Travel up to 50-60%

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary Range $180K-$210K

This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
