Position Title: Vice President of Business Development

Location: Hybrid โ€“ Based in either Dallas or Austin, TX

Reports To: Executive Leadership Team

Industry: Commercial General Contracting (focus on interiors, TI, and ground-up commercial)

Travel: Some regional travel between Dallas, Austin, and project/client sites

Overview:

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead client acquisition and relationship growth across Texas markets, with a focus on commercial interiors and ground-up construction projects. This executive-level role is responsible for expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and securing high-value construction opportunities. The candidate can be based out of either Dallas or Austin, working in a hybrid capacity.

The VP of BD will serve as a key face of the companyโ€”attending networking events, cultivating relationships with developers, brokers, and architects, and identifying pipeline opportunities across sectors like office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use. Candidates must have a strong network in Texas commercial real estate, and a track record of winning new work in construction.

This person will collaborate closely with the marketing, estimating, and project teams to ensure a seamless experience from client engagement to contract execution.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction business development
  • Deep familiarity with the Dallas and/or Austin construction markets
  • Strong relationships with developers, architects, brokers, and other industry stakeholders
  • Proven success winning projects in commercial interiors, ground-up office, industrial, or mixed-use
  • Professional polish, high-level communication skills, and a strategic mindset
