Darby Creek Animal Clinic, a well-established, family-owned, and compassionate veterinary practice located in the heart of Plain City, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team!

Our clinic offers a full range of veterinary services, including routine checkups, surgical procedures, dental care, and emergency services. We have a supportive, team-oriented environment and are committed to continuous learning and growth within the veterinary field.

Position Overview:

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients. You’ll assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures, ensure efficient clinic operations, and provide compassionate support to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and treatments
  • Perform diagnostic tests, including bloodwork, radiographs, and laboratory procedures
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia
  • Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to pet owners on wellness and preventive care
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of clinic equipment and treatment areas

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensed in the state of Ohio (or eligible for licensure)
  • Strong technical skills, including experience in anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and laboratory diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, but not required
