In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers high-quality legal services while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your Role in Action

  • Culture and Team Development: Demonstrate a strong understanding of MDK's policies, procedures, and culture. Work closely with the team to ensure they understand and support MDK’s mission and values. Provide tools and guidance to help employees be successful contributors to the firm’s goals.
  • Staff Coordination: Lead a diverse team of legal support staff, ensuring efficient scheduling, approval of time off requests, and timely processing of timecards. Manage staffing needs and support the team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Performance Leadership: Collaborate with attorneys to create an inspiring, motivating, and collaborative work environment. Address performance issues promptly and work with Human Resources to resolve challenges. Regularly monitor the quality of work to ensure compliance with established standards and firm expectations.
  • Ongoing Education & Development: Develop and implement an educational plan to ensure team members continue to grow professionally and develop transferable skills. Support employees in achieving their professional goals and maintain high levels of job satisfaction.
  • Training and Onboarding: Coordinate the training and onboarding of new employees within the team, ensuring a smooth transition and consistent experience across teams.
  • Quality & Compliance Monitoring: Regularly review team performance to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with MDK standards. Foster transparency, accountability, and open communication within the team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to the case management system to increase efficiency and ensure the team meets operational standards.
  • Client & Regulatory Relationships: Manage relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and courts. Work with attorneys to resolve conflicts and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate effective interaction between your team and other teams within the firm. Ensure open communication and foster a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals.

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a legal support environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams effectively.
  • Strong collaborative work style and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
