Human Resource Generalist
Location: Twinsburg, Ohio
Pay: $70k to $80k
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm, In-Office
PrideStaff is conducting a search for their Twinsburg area client for an experienced Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist will be a key member of the leadership team at this light manufacturing company, who is an industry leader in their field. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. An ideal Human Resource Generalist candidate for this position will be a someone who can work independently, has a bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration, obtained a SHRM certification and has some experience working in a union environment. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administers compensation, benefits, and leave programs
- Oversees disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, and performance and talent management
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
- Union experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
