Advanced Technology Leaders, Inc. (ATL) is seeking to hire a full time Human Resource Generalist for its corporate office in Martinez, GA. The ATL HR Generalist has the responsibility for providing support in various HR functions which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, employee relation, employee counseling, compensation and benefits administration, implementation, and administration of company HRIT systems. An HR Generalist should encompass a strong working knowledge of the human resource laws and regulations, human resource policies, personnel record keeping, safety issues of team members, training, and workforce development & compliance. The HR Generalist performs all its tasks to aid in the organization of the HR Department in the company to proactively guard against potential issues.

HR Generalist helps the company in organization, communication, negotiation, and in conflict management and they shall also provide an ethical scenario to employees to do their job with full of enthusiasm. An HR Generalist incumbent must have proficient knowledge in following areas such as: human resource management, performance review techniques and methods, job description, staffing, training, recognition, development, delegation, mentoring and coaching.

Duties and Responsibilities of Human Resource (HR) Generalist

  • Serves employees as well as clients, including administrators, corporate, technical sector etc. by handling day to day questions and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Communicates company policies and procedures & promotes understanding within the organization.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Identifies training and development opportunities and organize staff training sessions, workshops, and other activities as per need of the staff members.
  • Provides basic counseling to staff to address employee issues.
  • Aids top management in developing human resource plans.
  • Manages and assists with employee on-boarding activities; answer employee questions and provide support to assistant managers when integrating new hires into the organization.
  • Suggests and administers employee benefit programs, answer employee questions, support claim resolution, and maintain related systems.
  • Focus' on the performance review process & provides employees and managers with information about the process, policies, job duties, and process for promotion.
  • Leads employee recreation and recognition programs to make them feel little relax from their daily work schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining employee records IAW all regulatory compliance and DOL regulations.
  • Responsible for new hire, termination, and change of status forms with payroll.
  • Serves as employee liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to benefit deductions and pay.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for company Affirmative Action Plan, VETS and EEO reporting annually.
  • Responsible for ensuring company is following all Department of Labor regulations, and laws for hiring and maintain employee records.
  • Responsible for helping management track all federal and state mandates for employee processing, ensuring all required documents are on file and signed and ensuring all required documents are posted and distributed to all necessary employees.
  • The HRG will use ADP WorkforceNow and Unanet to facilitate in onboarding; responsible for the accuracy of all employee and company information for all HRIT Systems
  • Reports directly to Director of Operations and provides backup support to all HR Personnel.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Should know how to build a proficient team and how to handle day to day problems.
  • Must have problem solving and counseling skills to overcome problems easily.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including ability to work with MS office (specially, MS excel), spreadsheets and word processing programs at highly proficient level.
  • Effective person in written communication and have ability to prepare reports, proposals, procedures, and policies.
  • Good in effective public relations and have sound public speaking skills.
  • Avid person in research and program development skills.
  • Must know how to manage stress at work and work-life-balance.
  • Must be sound in time management and in interview skills.
  • Manage and be proficient in company programs i.e. (ADP and Unanet)
  • Brief management on all HR functions and actions
  • Ensure all HR actions are handled and processed in timely manner.
  • Preform audits and checks on all benefits and programs for accuracy.
  • Provide reports and analysis on all HRIS processes and hiring.
  • Process and track payroll activities on bi-weekly basis
  • Make suggestions to management about hires, terminations, salaries, job descriptions and benefits.
  • Understand and be well versed in company benefit packages.


Required Education, Qualification and Experience:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in business or HR
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, data, & enterprise HRIS management
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Highly Preferred.
  • Strong Preference for ADP WorkforceNow experience
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Experience with Excel and an ability to create data driven insights.
  • Experience being a thought partner to leadership/exec teams to educate and build out HR process across multiple functions.
  • Proactive and result oriented mindset with strong sense of ownership.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Travel: Minimal travel for corporate support may occur for this position.
