Status: Full Time Days

Shift: 8am-4:30pm

Salary Range: $19.00/hr

What do I need as an Aquatics Coordinator with Messiah Lifeways?

• Aquatic Instructor Certification required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion/Exercise Physiology related field or combination of Associate's degree and three (3) years of experience in the health and wellness field preferred.
• Experience or training in group exercise, physiology, and gerontology preferred.
• Experience with senior-focused wellness programs preferred.
• Current Lifeguard Certification accepted by the PA Department of Health preferred.

What will I do as an Aquatics Coordinator with Messiah Lifeways?

• Oversees the Aquatics Center, Pool, Spa, and Locker-room areas.
• Plans and executes a variety of wellness activities and water/land classes to meet Wellness Member needs.
• Conduct aqua personal training sessions and swim lessons as requested.
• Provides lifeguard services.
• Provides for safety and security of the entire Aquatic Center, Pool, Spa and Locker-room areas with supervision of the Wellness Manager.
• Assist in planning, developing, evaluating and implementing comprehensive wellness programs and activities for residents, clients, team members, community members and all levels of care.
• Follow proper Wellness Center policies and procedures and promote safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• Corresponds with internal clinical staff including physical therapy, physicians, and nurses to ensure proper exercise prescription for campus residents.
