I.T. Support Specialist

The Swope Family of Dealerships is looking for a detailed oriented I.T. Support Specialist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This position is a well-rounded intermediate I.T. position.

I.T. Support Specialist Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming helpdesk tickets in a timely manner using excellent customer service skills.
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions using a help desk ticketing system, an asset management system, and an RMM solution.
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of end user computer systems and related end user hardware such as document scanners, printers, desk phones, etc.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
• Perform adds/moves/changes on an on-prem 3CX VoIP phone system and IP phones.
• Manage Microsoft 365 cloud applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, PowerApps, and Power Automation.
• Assist the System Administrator on relevant projects when necessary.
• Ability to perform network diagnostics using common networking tools.
• Perform network cable terminations.
• Ability to take initiative on issues when they arise and work with minimal instruction from senior staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system administration, or associate degree with valid professional certifications such as A+, Net+, MCSA, etc.
• 5 years working experience in a similar role.
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus.
• Working knowledge of VoIP phone systems is a must.
• Working knowledge of virtualization using VMWare, or Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, network infrastructure devices and network operations are a must.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell is a plus.
• All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen.
