Job Title: Assistant Manager – Houston TX Hot Chicken (HHC)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Other: Full-Time

Position: The Assistant General Manager Serves as the forefront of customer service and hospitality for Houston TX Hot Chicken (HHC). The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping the restaurant meet Service, Sales, and profit objectives along with the supervising and directing restaurant staff in daily work activates. As an Assistant Manager, one must assist the General Manager with Restaurant operations, while maintaining positive customer and public relations within the community

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the General Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the execution of the brand daily.

• Competent in all front of house & back of house positions

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant

• Responsible for same store sales growth

• Responsible for line speed to be measured using transaction times.

• Serve as primary point of contact for all customer service matters and responsible for

overall customer reviews

• Handles the execution of quality food following proper procedures and HHC

standards.

• Attends weekly meetings with the store management team.

• Reviews weekly employee schedules

• Assists the General Manager to complete weekly reports, self-reporting, people PAR

staffing guide, online ordering, inventory, etc.

• Have a thorough knowledge of HHC’s culture.

• Follows all company standards for health, safety, sanitation, security, and maintain a

neat and clean appearance

• Adheres to and ensure all employees follow proper policies and procedures as outlined.

• Utilize kitchen equipment including but not limited to: ice cream machine, Lemonade machine(s), pressure/open bay fryers, crispers, warmers, steam tables, Etc.

• Performs other duties as required by upper management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, Holidays, Opening/closing shifts.

• Willingness to obtain trainings and obtain certifications as needed.

• Valid driver’s license

• Regular and predictable attendance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Be at least 21 years of age

• High school diploma or GED

• 2-3 year’s restaurant experience

• Basic experience with Microsoft Suite

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 75 pounds, bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time including viewing the screen, using a mouse, and manipulating a keyboard with hands, reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
