Job Description

The National Account Manager- Walmart-Sam’s Club, reporting to the Director of Sales- Walmart/Sams’ Club, is responsible for achieving and/or exceeding projected key account sales goals for the HARIBO of America and Walmart/Sam’s Club business, continue to strengthen long-term business relationships with Walmart/Sam’s Club, execute promotional sales programs, submit accurate sales forecasts, and drive sales growth. The National Account Manager- Walmart/Sam’s Club is a vital part of HARIBO’s continued growth. The original and iconic HARIBO Goldbears, created in 1922, have delighted kids and grown-ups for 100 years!

Located on-site at the HARIBO of America satellite office in Bentonville, Arkansas, the ideal National Account Manager- Walmart/Sam’s Club candidate will have 5+ years of experience in sales/marketing/business development roles in the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods industry and have prior experience working for or with Walmart/Sam’s Club in sales/marketing capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Create long-term business relationships with Walmart/Sam’s Club and foster a sustainable competitive

advantage for HARIBO of America

  • Consistently achieve sales goals and profitability while operating within budgetary constraints to contribute

to the overall profitability of HARIBO of America.

Partner with Walmart/Sam’s Club to develop and execute promotional sales programs to include

scheduling how funds will be allocated; plan sufficient lead-time to ensure effective execution.

  • Submit accurate forecasts to ensure delivery of the appropriate product to customers in a timely and

efficient manner to achieve profit volume, while remaining within budgetary guidelines.

  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the effective utilization of Trade Promotion Funds to develop and

expand business in assigned national key accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum +5 years’ relevant job-specific work experience within the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Position is located on-site at the HARIBO satellite office in Bentonville, Arkansas - must be able to commute daily to this office location

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working for or with Walmart and/or Sam’s Club in the consumer packaged goods industry is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and fact-based selling skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate forecasts, strategic problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in multi-variable analysis, turning insights into actionable & effective storytelling
  • Strong knowledge of IRI and/or Nielsen systems
  • Customer experience working with McLane and/or Coremark
  • Confection and/or other food category experience
  • Experience with CPFR and customer Replenishment (GRS, etc.)
