Job description

SUMMARY
The National Accounts Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new national accounts while expanding product penetration within existing strategic customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for national accounts and collaborates with internal teams across multiple facilities to deliver corrugated packaging, point-of-purchase displays, folding carton products, and graphic packaging solutions. The position focuses on expanding revenue, strengthening customer partnerships, identifying value-added opportunities, and ensuring consistent execution of customer requirements throughout the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Drive positive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new national account opportunities across targeted markets.
  2. Develop and maintain a book of business with a revenue of at least $4M annually by the 18th month of employment
  3. Expand product penetration within existing national accounts by identifying opportunities to introduce additional packaging solutions, manufacturing capabilities, and value-added services.
  4. Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for corrugated packaging, folding carton, POP displays, graphic packaging, and related solutions.
  5. Develop and execute strategic account growth plans focused on both new customer acquisition and increasing share of wallet within existing accounts.
  6. Coordinate customer initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities and business units.
  7. Lead customer business reviews and executive-level presentations.
  8. Manage RFQ/RFP processes, contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and onboarding activities.
  9. Collaborate with design, estimating, customer service, production, and logistics teams.
  10. Identify cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
  11. Monitor industry trends and competitive activity.
  12. Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
  13. Foster collaboration between company divisions to maximize growth opportunities.
  14. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  15. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Packaging Engineering, or related field required.
  • 6-8 years of business, sales, marketing, product/brand management, or manufacturing experience required.
  • Previous corrugated packaging sales experience required.
  • Experience managing large, multi-location or national customer accounts required.
  • Demonstrated success selling corrugated packaging, folding carton, displays, graphic packaging, or related packaging solutions preferred.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
  • Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently.
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
  • Must be able to drive and travel frequently to customer and company locations.
  • The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
