Turn 14 Distribution is an industry-leading wholesale distributor of aftermarket automotive parts, serving performance enthusiasts, retailers, and professional installers across North America. We are seeking a driven and experienced New Account Sales Manager to join our Sales team and lead the efforts responsible for acquiring, onboarding, and developing new customer relationships.
This role is ideal for a strategic sales leader who enjoys coaching teams, building strong customer and vendor relationships, and creating processes that drive growth. The New Account Sales Manager will oversee the New Accounts team, ensuring efficient lead management, account approvals, customer onboarding, and successful transitions into the sales organization.
Position Overview
The New Account Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the New Accounts team, ensuring smooth lead assignments, account approvals, and effective management of customer issue escalations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong people management skills, the ability to foster vendor relationships, provide coaching and mentorship, and proactively manage initiatives that support sales growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aftermarket performance automotive industry, a passion for customer success, and proven experience leading sales teams.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the New Accounts team to achieve department goals and performance objectives.
  • Assign leads to team members and ensure timely follow-up, engagement, and conversion.
  • Oversee lead generation strategies and collaborate with vendors to improve lead quality and acquisition opportunities.
  • Review and approve new customer accounts while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Manage escalated customer concerns and provide effective solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Review and approve customer outside visits to strengthen relationships, resolve issues, and overcome new account onboarding challenges.
  • Partner with the Outside Sales team to identify and develop new lead-generation opportunities.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings and regular performance reviews to provide feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities.
  • Oversee the transition of new accounts from the New Accounts team to the Sales team.
  • Ensure smooth communication and account flow between departments.
  • Review and approve pricing for new accounts while maintaining competitiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Develop and execute team initiatives designed to generate additional sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners to support lead acquisition efforts.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure successful account transitions and continued customer support.
  • Represent Turn 14 Distribution at industry trade shows and company events while managing the New Accounts presence.
  • Collaborate with New Accounts, Accounting, and Sales teams to continuously improve and streamline the account onboarding process.
  • Embody and promote Turn 14 Distribution's Core Values in all interactions.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or a related field, with at least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
