Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Provide convention business with the services necessary to fulfill their convention/meeting requirements (i.e.; hotel rooms, meeting, and function space.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
  • Responsible for reaching room nights and revenue goals.
  • Daily responsibilities include sales calls, writing proposals, negotiating contracts, closing business deals, entertain clients, conduct site inspections and attend trade shows.
  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
  • Create a comprehensive strategic and tactical sales and marketing plan.
  • Monitor lost business and comp reports.
  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Able to travel (as necessary)
  • Develop strategic plan or responsible market segments to develop lead opportunities
  • Strong time management skills and ability to delegate and handle multiple priorities. - Knowledge of Delphi is preferred and proficiency in the use of Word & Excel.
  • Experience working with strategic partners Helmsbriscoe, Conference Direct and other strategic market segments.

Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5)+ years of Hotel Sales experience.

Education Requirements:
  • College degree (may substitute additional experience in lieu of degree).

Desirables:
  • Candidates with Las Vegas hotel sales experience and a history of exceeding sales goals in a 3-4 star CONVENTION hotel are preferred.
