JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for engaging clients to secure new equipment sales orders for the Peerless Emissions Control business platform. This role develops proposals in collaboration with other relevant members of the team and with our supply chain partners. In addition to responding to bid requests from clients, this role proactively engages OEMs, end-user energy operators, boiler manufacturers, technology licensors and other firms to pursue new opportunities and gather competitive market data. This is a sales role requiring first-hand execution of sales processes, including: prospecting, customer meetings, development of technical proposals and negotiation of contracts. This role also requires the ability to conduct much of the Application engineering required for sales level engineering. Support from in-house engineers will be provided but the ability to conduct some or all of the Application Engineering is a positive.

  • Develops, maintains, and improves relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Engages customers to ensure accurate understanding of their project and performance criteria for assigned order opportunities.
  • Develops and presents proposals that meet or exceed customer criteria and create clear differentiation from competitors to secure the order.
  • Follows up with customers on all tasks, actions, and proposals.
  • Closely collaborates with engineering, design & drafting, supply chain partners or other sales resources as needed to develop proposals.
  • Leverages industry knowledge and customer relationships to understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
  • Provides timely and routine communications to management and other team members on competitive information, product issues, market trends and customer perception of Emissions Control products and services.
  • Accurately maintains account, contact and opportunity records in our CRM database (Salesforce.com) in order to provide accurate quarterly forecasts.
  • Responds to leads professionally and within the required timeframe to ensure customer satisfaction and improved lead conversion.
  • Negotiates technical, commercial, and legal terms in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders such as our legal contracts team.
  • Execute sales level application engineering work with the use of in-house sizing and cost tools.
  • Provide cost-price calculations and execute equipment proposals Emissions Control Solutions
  • Prepare the Technical & Commercial Proposal for the solution to be presented to the customer.
  • Emphasizes product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of system capabilities and limitations.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Requires 10 or more years of related industry experience.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines or HRSG ancillary equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in applications engineering or direct sales which includes the achievement of specific sales objectives.
  • Experience with Large Industrial or Utility Boilers and/or Gas Turbines is preferred.
  • Experience selling engineered systems for gas turbines, HRSG’s, boilers, heaters, and other combustion sources is required.
  • Specific experience with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems is needed.
  • In depth technical knowledge of SCR systems is a positive.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Must demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to adjust strategies and approaches quickly as conditions dictate.
  • Possesses a combination of process, conceptual, business analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to define weekly tasks as needed to meet management and customer expectations.
  • Possess a valid state issued Driver’s License with ability to provide proof of insurance.
