Job Description

Established, leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a positive and compassionate environment is needing an experienced, professional and dedicated Patient Access Rep / Contact Center Specialist to join our team full-time within our Temple location - This role includes the possibility of going Remote! 

Patient Access Rep / Contact Center Specialist 

Payrate: $17.00/hr
SHIFT: Mon-Fri, 8a - 5p (Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed)

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Customer/Administrative Service & Support
  • Patient Support, Patient Registration, Medical Records
  • Customer Service, Typing, Computer knowledge
  • Call Center experience needed
  • Medical Terminology a plus

DUTIES:

  • Proficient in ALL phone and work request dispatch responsibilities.
  • Monitors environmental alarms: doors, gates, parking lot intercoms & CCTV.
  • Assists with the workflow and assignments for patient transporters.
  • Responsible for providing feedback to leadership regarding ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and to maximize the performance of the department
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
  • Provide medical administrative support by verifying patient information, collecting co-pays, and updating patient records
  • Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and retrieving patient documents
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations of the medical office
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and Epic system to accurately document patient information
  • Ability to handle difficult situations; providing conflict resolution
