Established, leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a positive and compassionate environment is needing an experienced, professional and dedicated Patient Access Rep / Contact Center Specialist to join our team full-time within our Temple location - This role includes the possibility of going Remote!

Patient Access Rep / Contact Center Specialist

Payrate: $17.00/hr
SHIFT: Mon-Fri, 8a - 5p (Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed)

JOB SUMMARY:

Customer/Administrative Service & Support
Patient Support, Patient Registration, Medical Records
Customer Service, Typing, Computer knowledge
Call Center experience needed
Medical Terminology a plus

DUTIES:

Proficient in ALL phone and work request dispatch responsibilities.
Monitors environmental alarms: doors, gates, parking lot intercoms & CCTV.
Assists with the workflow and assignments for patient transporters.
Responsible for providing feedback to leadership regarding ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and to maximize the performance of the department
Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
Provide medical administrative support by verifying patient information, collecting co-pays, and updating patient records
Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and retrieving patient documents
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations of the medical office
Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and Epic system to accurately document patient information
Ability to handle difficult situations; providing conflict resolution
