Title: IT Support Technician
Status: Part-time or Full-time, non-exempt, hourly
Purpose: To manage and maintain all church computer systems to assist staff and attenders to pursue life in Christ.
Working Relationship:
Accountable to the Senior Pastor, through the Lead Team, with direct supervision for their responsibilities to the Pastor of Connection Ministries
Qualification:
- A bachelor's or equivalent degree in a computer-related field with experience
- Ability to train others on hardware and software systems
- Ability to think strategically and use relational skills to interact with all church ministry areas
Values and Beliefs
- Must be a professing Christian who affirms the Calvary Church doctrinal basis, vision and, values, and philosophy of ministry
- Must regularly attend Calvary Church
Responsibilities (One Sentence Job Description)
To support the staff with problem resolution, system maintenance, solution research, training, and guidance on open support requests and maintain the IT inventory.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service and support to employees reporting technology issues. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving end-user help requests. Provide and/or coordinate exceptional new user and ongoing employee training.
- Setup and maintenance of dedicated computer equipment and services
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all computer hardware and software
- Install, update, and repair software, hardware, and peripherals on organization systems
- Open/manage tickets in the help desk system, troubleshoot problems and diagnose issues. Send tickets to the appropriate vendor or team member as needed.
- Monitor and report any industry changes that may impact any of our systems
- Maintain up-to-date documentation
- Provide Sunday AM technical coverage for learning environments.
- Any other potential technical needs as desired by church leadership
General Staff Responsibilities
- Attend Staff Gatherings and be involved with team meetings as assigned.
- Pray for the ministry of the church.
- Stay current on church policies, procedures, and programs.
- Serve in other areas as requested by the Senior Pastor.
Work Schedule and Time Allotment
Work schedule: Part-time or Full-time, flexible related to programs and projects
Sunday responsibilities - Provide Sunday AM technical coverage for learning environments.
To be managed and accounted for in cooperation with his supervisor.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Light physical work requirements (lifting 50-100 lbs), sitting, prolonged standing, potential reaching, climbing, prolonged positioning under hot, bright lights, occasionally outside in differing weather conditions, prolonged looking at monitors and computer screens, and operating a mouse and keyboard.
Creative thinking, conceptual, collaborative, and listening skills. Must be able to present ideas and allow for adoption, adaptation, or elimination of those ideas.
