Lead Human Resources at a dynamic fintech company located in downtown Las Olas! Join the management team as a key player in propelling the business forward, responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle management including recruiting, people operations, engagement, L&D, strategy, and data & analytics. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Recruitment and Staffing: Overseeing the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring decisions, and onboarding new employees. Work with management to ensure the staffing needs of the company are met efficiently and effectively.
• Employee Engagement and Retention: Implementing strategies to increase employee engagement and reduce turnover.
• Collaboration with Senior Management: Working closely with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals, particularly in the context of non-QM lending challenges and opportunities.
• Employee Relations: Managing employee relations, addressing concerns, administering disciplinary actions, and maintaining a positive work environment. This includes ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Learning and Development: Implementing and monitoring employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the mortgage lending industry, especially around non-QM products.
• Performance Management: Developing and executing performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and feedback mechanisms.
• Compensation and Benefits: Administering employee compensation plans, benefits programs, and ensuring they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements.
• Policy Development and Compliance: Developing and updating HR policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, especially those relevant to the mortgage lending industry.
• HR Data and Analytics: Using HR data and analytics to make informed decisions and improve HR processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in the mortgage lending or financial services sector
• Experience in a dynamic, startup environment strongly preferred
• Experience in a management and/or leadership position strongly preferred
• Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
• Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and time management skills
• Attention to detail and good judgement
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
