Human Resource Generalist

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000DOE

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm M-F

Location: Akron, OH

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting HR initiatives including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, document control, and coaching. This position will focus on the areas of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a working knowledge of ORC 3796 and OAC 3796 as they pertain to Human Resources rules for medical marijuana Cultivators, Processors, and Dispensaries in Ohio.

• Review and be familiar with the Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbooks.

• Assist with Company benefits and employee programs, including but not limited to benefits election, benefits renewals, benefits administration, FMLA and COBRA.

• Responsible for documenting work-related matters appropriately and maintaining a filing system that allows for the quick identification of employee history and track record.

• Maintain employee personnel files.

• Effectively resolve basic employee relations matters and advise on corrective action.

• Partner with Recruiter to ensure all HR recruitment communications, including websites and job postings are current, accurate, and engaging.

• Work with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs as it relates to vacant positions, coordinate development of position descriptions and assignment of job descriptions.

• Respond to unemployment compensation claims.

• Be familiar with OSHA, Workers’ Comp, and EEO responsibilities and other federal and state reporting requirements and compliance.

• Perform all other Human Resources duties as required.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree: in Human Resources or related field preferred

• HR Certification preferred.

• 2+ years in Human Resources

• Organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow through with a low error rate.

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency when needed.

• Strong critical thinking skills.

• Work as a trusted advisor/business partner to organization.

• Contributes to building a positive team outlook while maintaining a positive attitude.

• Some travel to Klutch retail locations (in Ohio).
